A friend emailed this to me and it tickled my funny-bone, not as a joke against the military but as a visualizaton of stereo-types.
It should be said that it is in reference to Senator Kerry’s botched joke about one being smart enough for college so as to stay out of Iraq. Several other Democrats came to his defense, and well, a lot of things were misconstrued.
I hope no one actually believes that our men and women in uniform are only in the armed services by default. While it may be true that many were not always from affluent families and that some did not all have a lot of options, the choice to serve one’s country is a noble and honorable one. The truth is that they include many of the best and brightest. Indeed, given their courage, they are the top among us as Americans.

This is about as un-funny as someone who misrepresents Catholicism and post a joke about it. Take a tad of truth and distort it into a hurtful lie. LOL-NOT
As a member of the U.S. ARMY and Mensa I can tell you that this poster is complete [censored]! I have been a democrat since I was able to vote. The democrats have as much respect for the soldiers as any other political party. The democrats have no problem with the soldiers of America, only with the policy makers who vote time and time again to keep us in the line of fire. Don’t mistake our patriotism and sense of duty for stupidity! the caption should read “So hard only a warrior can do it”. The people who printed this poster should be ashamed of themselves for trying to make the American soldiers feel like any of their countryman are laking respect for the choices they made. As a wartime soldier I can say that we need all the support we can get and a sense of unity among all of our countryman and politicians. If we don’t have that, than what the hell are we fighting and dying for?
