A new documentary reports that Pope John Paul II was stabbed by a knife-wielding priest in 1982, a year after he had been shot in St. Peter’s Square.
Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz is the source for this information in a documentary called TESTIMONY. It is narrated by the actor Michael York.
Described as “a crazed ultra-conservative Spanish priest,” Fr. Juan Fernandez Krohn jumped upon the Holy Father with a dagger.
He was taken down by police and arrested.
The Pope was cut but the matter was immediately hushed up.
Krohn would spend years in a Portuguese prison. He was later expelled from the country.
